About this tool

Camera Color Picker turns your phone into a real-world eyedropper. Point it at a wall, a fabric, a leaf, a printed swatch or another screen, tap the spot you care about, and you get the exact HEX, RGB and HSL values plus the nearest named color — instantly.

It was built for designers, DIY decorators and anyone matching a real object to a digital color. Existing web tools only let you upload a static image; this one reads a live camera feed in the browser, which most native apps charge or nag for.

Privacy is the default, not a setting. The camera stream and any image you pick are processed entirely on your device using the standard browser camera and canvas APIs. No frame, photo or color is ever sent to a server. There is nothing to sign up for.

One honest caveat: phone cameras automatically adjust white balance and exposure, so a reading is a close approximation rather than a calibrated measurement. Freeze the frame and use even lighting for the most reliable result.
